Yesterday's solution:

BILBO BILL BILLION BILLON BLIN BLINI BLOB BOIL BOLO BOLL BRILL BROIL HILL HORNBILL LION LOBO LOIN LOLL LOON OLIO RILL ROLL

I missed 'nonillion', 1 followed by 30 zeroes (except in England, where it's 54 zeroes. Pommie bastards, as they say in Australia). I used to think NONILLION it was a joke word, as in "how much did you make today, a nonillion?" (and it works anyway!).

Pangram: HORNBILL. Well, if you didn't get it don't feel too bad, unless you live in Africa and see these magnificent creatures. There are so many birds, and so many kinds of deer, that it is unfortunate when the pangram falls onto one.

Other animals included: LOBO (wolf), LOON (another bird or a crazy person), LION, and BRILL (a fish, aka turbot).

BILBO is an ancient weapon (unless it's Baggins). BLIN and BLINI are of course little Russian pancakes for when you have too much caviar (personally I think they ruin the caviar). A RILL is a rivulet, a very small stream. OLIO is a hodgepodge or a collection - as opposed to 'oleo' (margarine).

Finally, a BILLON is an alloy of gold and a cheaper metal.

Another day.
