This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
ANNUAL ANNUL ANNULLING CANNULA CAUL CLUING CLUNG CUING CULL CULLING CUNNING GAUGING GLUG GLUING GULL GUNNING IGUANA INGUINAL LACUNA LACUNAL LAGUNA LINGUA LINGUAL LUGGING LULL LULLING LULU LUNA LUNG LUNGING NUANCING NULL NULLING ULNA UNILINGUAL UNLACING CUNNILINGUAL
Pangrams: UNLACING and yes, CUNNILINGUAL! What a great day! Related: LINGUA/LINGUAL - tongue (or an organ resembling a tongue?!) And UNILINGUAL (composed of or using only one language).
Anatomy: LACUNA/LACUNAL we've seen before. An anatomical cavity or pit, or more generically, a gap. ULNA is one of the two forearm bones (the thinner one on the pinky side). CAUL is a membrane covering the intestines, or the head of an embryo. INGUINAL: of, relating to, or situated in the region of the groin. Another good one.
No food, because I somehow excluded LINGUINI. Duh.
We have some great suffixes here: -AL and -ING, accounting for many words. UN- often provides a prefix opportunity, but surprisingly, resulting with only UNLACING. OK, let's look at some interesting words.
GLUG - the sound of a bottle emptying.
LUNA was a surprise. The capitalized word refers to the Moon goddess, but lowercase meanings are: silver as used in alchemy, and a Hawaiian plantation foreman!
Can we have a day without one slavery-related term? Gees.
Another day, perhaps.
