Spellbinding is a word puzzle game, in which you construct words reusing the provided 7 letters.
BOOK BOOKWORK BOOR BORIC BORROW BRICKWORK BRIO BROOK BROW COCK COCKCROW COOK COOKBOOK CORK CRIBWORK CROCK CROOK CROW ROCK ROCOCO ROOK WORK WORKBOOK
This was a pretty easy puzzle. BRICKWORK was the pangram.
CRIBWORK - this one has me stumped. Dictionary.com provides this definition: "a system of cribs, cribbing". Merriam-Webster is not helpful either: "a framework formed by or as if by logs arranged as in a crib : a structure made with cribs". The definition of "CRIB" or "CRIBS" does not help either - you do it yourself. It seems that the arrangement of planks in a crib is the answer - I envision a curved bed of colinear logs with the center sagging... Or is it about cheat-sheets? Truly odd.
BOOKWORK is school work, often done with a WORKBOOK.
COCKCROW is another word for dawn.
COIR, CHOIR, BORK were omitted and will be added to the dictionary. I was assuming coir was too obscure, but was corrected (in a /msg conversation) by a player who grew up with coir mats on the floor. Where I live coconuts are a bit of a luxury and exotica (other than canned coconut products). It's hard not to project my whiteness onto the game, but I will try.
Feel free to /msg me about missing words - but keep it reasonable. I have a dictionary too, so don't just jam me with absurd crossword words, or words that only someone in South Africa would know. Reasonable.
Balancing the dictionary is pretty much 99 percent of the work. I want it to be reasonably complete for a reasonably-informed person, which is probably not possible. Too many words makes the game tedious, and missing an obvious word makes everyone annoyed. Such is the human condition.
