Nice sized galaxy. It feels just a bit larger than many of the galaxies I've been viewing recently. AV is not needed, and does not help much with the size. A speck of a core is visible. Seems to be about half way between face-on and edge-on.

Once I finished NGC 4699, I was planning to get to two other galaxies in Virgo; however after putting my glasses back on and looking up at the sky, I noticed clouds forming in all directions. Half of Virgo was already covered (the forecast was clear!)

Funny enough, one of the only constellations still fully visible was Corona Borealis. I didn't plan another magnitude estimation for tonight, but I didn't have any other options left!

This did give me a chance to at least confirm my first visual estimation. This time, using the same comparison stars, I'm estimating the magnitude to be 10.3. It may have seemed just a tiny bit fainter than before (might have been due to the full moon rising over the horizon last time).
