Christina posted five questions, here is my attempt at answering them.
Christina's Capsule with the questions
One of my favourite things to do in the summer is drive with my window rolled down and the music turned up. What is on your summertime playlist?
I still associate summer with Heavy Metal festivals, although it has been years since I have been to one. Nevertheless, I keep some very old school Metal somewhere on some playlist. Something like Iron Savior. They like to film themselves singing to their own tracks while driving and using this as a music video.

At one of the first festivals I have been to, a then young German post-rock group got the last spot of the day. Not being much a drinker, I found myself still well awake on a late night set of Long Distance Calling. A band I still go back to often. They have seen well deserved success since then.

I recently moved back to the area where I grew up. Tell me about where you grew up - has it changed? If you left, what would induce you to return? If you've always lived there, what would induce you to leave?
I grew up in the Austrian part of the alpine Rhine Valley which is part of the state Vorarlberg. Having no bigger city to speak of, it's a cluster of towns that grew together to form one big suburb. The population is accordingly thoroughly conservative. Ironically, they also like to understand themselves as cosmopolitan. Mostly because the region is bordering to three other countries (including the tiny Lichtenstein) and has a huge tourism industry. This, however, is mostly self-deception. Most consider Munich as far away.
After that paragraph it should be no surprise that I don't see myself moving back there. Indeed, when I moved to a town in eastern France which has a population not bigger than the one of Vorarlberg, I got quite scared: Would my world again become tiny? But, it turns out, it's not just the since. The people here are much more open minded then back in Austria.
That said: should my family need me I would move back without hesitation. I guess I can find happiness by spending more time in the nature, far away from the people.
What tree is your favourite and why?
The red maple. It's not very common here, but I had one growing in front of the window of my childhood room. It's a beautiful tree, but somewhat humble.
What were you afraid of as a child? Are you still afraid or did you "grow" out of it?
One of the books I had as a child was «Ophelia's Shadow Theatre». It's pages are filled with haunting drawings of shadowy beings. I now find it profoundly beautiful. It's a book about death.

Who are some poets that you enjoy? What is it about them that speaks to you?
Unfortunately, I never had a chance to read much poetry. I will read the answers of others, maybe this might be a gateway.
