Thom ��s distinctive bruise after the accident ��
fully in quotes delineating a faked lack of intent ��
became iconic, an outfit, an entire wardrobe
built around it, congratulating passerby
on their flirtation with transient happenstance
that by luck and incidence alone their clone
didn ��t don their half-full closet in sleep-deprived night
break free, subsequently thrashing unmitigatable
demonic reversal of possessions upon that bed-ridden lump
riding that personal insult of pagentry in dulcet cowboy
before realization strikes, ah me, oh my, it worked
Thom to Thom ��s apologies most profuse, fully iced
followed as one does after a night ��s recriminations
swaying to further science, or at least button pressing
with a shopping spree and some heavy thinking
cognitive hangover solved by liberal application
of coming out to oneself well dressed
with a flourish, a step, a turn to the calf
