as the magical girl who used to be your cat
let ��s just say I ��m aware of the tropes
and one trip to the vet back in 1989
made sure I ��ve zero interest in that
discovering you didn ��t go for cats
or, in fact, girls, was a happy moment
which said, space wizardry
familiar, familiarity
let ��s just say if you were familiar with me
there wouldn ��t have been six, count ��em
six gods-be-damned years of kibble
and here we are in 2071
finally coming off the wet food
so if I seem a mite temperamental
at least I ��m not having kittens
and you ��ve got, bare minimum
three times a day for each day of those years
worth of real, proper, flavor-laden
comfort driven satisfaction
before I cast that spell
I want to be comfy
I want to knock all your pretties
directly to the ground
while I ��m eating
I want to remind you
that forgiveness comes on bitter wings
sweet coffee, meat pasties, and ambition
I want to become perfectly round
while you inquire if I ��m done yet
enjoying opposable thumbs
I ��ll be knocking all your pretties
