O Pretty Idiot

coming back is embarrassing, down in the dirt with nary a stitch
something about closed casket and a dim voice muttering
how there ��s not enough mortician ��s wax in the world to un-hash that
intimately aware of every detail pouring again into oneself
breath upon breath of soft clay sifted to finest grind penetrating
pauper ��s box with body bag providing slow zipper-limited ingress
that liturgical array made flesh laughing away around outer edges
in person dark-light cavern all wrapped up tightly in memory
wandering out late in inebriated dramatis personae yelling at seagulls
splattering down embankment mud onto cinders all a-fighting
taking a stance at the monster-light flipping both birds
vomiting and declaring in perfect resonance �� a train a train
get stuffed o iron engine of misfortune for I shall �� more barf
and in the scattered sooted blankness swearing �� rise again
coming back is remembering stories of fingernails
dragging coffin-marks in that brief panic settling around the shoulders
a few yards in before remembering gravity works for finding up
in pretty much the opposite direction one ��s been going
muttering how named monsters would have done it as mist
erupting then as one would sneeze in thankless horror
which is when it hits that after a life of sinusoidal nasty
I ��ve no desire nor need to vent my nose unto the heavens
that this is truly the perfect resurrection if one ignores
with small scratches filling in that earth-toned self-perfection
the utter lack of hungry abomination stretching skin
