in elementary school, provided with diagrams
we were asked in order where we believed
our gods had touched us, head, heart, hands
my diagram had no wings, no thousand wonders
so many missing things swept under, incisions
where other gods had been abiding
our surrounding hills, our marshes dear
lamentations where our loved ones hear
their chitin glistening from windswept tears
these were to be forgotten, tilled to make un-fallow
where those new chariots had lain their weals
salting tracks grown soon to nothing
killing that they might by further killing
claim to heel every neck soon broke to wheel
and from that blood-dark earth raise flowers
hand pollinated, hand abated, hand sated
where crystalline and liquid color long had been
now slain for queen and Coventry
where scent unfolding long desires hivie-skivy
writ to ultraviolet, that very light sold to forget
in magnanimous re-lightings
but we now-unsighted many know our touches clear
un-queened as may be, but no less dear in wording
your gods have come for head, for heart, for hand
our land, our marshes dear, our surrounding hills
still whisper clear direction, where infection
like any mighty fortress sans foundation
forgets a queen is always coming, sipping solemn
in rag and glamory, if not for her children, from them
never lost to all direction despite diagrams of empty
in elementary school, provided with angiograms
we deduced theism a many-surgered thing
and of our gods spoke facets of nothing
choosing endless spring-fed hum instead
as from siding to sand your fortresses slip to tinder
where golden at the hand, and head, and heart
backwards we ��ll till you under
and backwards we ��ll fill your kindling
with wax and sweetest nectar
one of us, again, at last to trill the markings
waking higher frequencies, melting disease to plasma
to greet our rising queen, not with fire, but with flowers
