Feeding Visitors

it ��s not that the stars move �� everything moves
everything is always moving, even heat death ��s tapping toes
it ��s that set new moon leaves new edifice
pillars self-risen in the pollened pines
volcanic mass calling query while I walk the woods
path well tested, rest another eon coming
returning through hoop, relearning through garden
those bare footprints repeatedly pressed
home before, lonely in woods behind, culled from time
inserted, anentropic driftwood one visits
not too often lest it get inquisitive
of one universe, you and I, multiplicative
fusion above by infinite singing swarms
warm gone molten, collapsing in, listening
by that light, then, smelling tomatoes coming to season
reason momentarily sinecure, dusted adaptive
where the bear, so long ladled, turns its head
swan in its stead landing on the iron loop
brushing swinging mirror there to keep birds out
no corner of the eye unenlightened �� everything moves
come then, the tomatoes are ripened, fresh cheese awaits
sliced basil, last night ��s bread thin cut, spread with butter
and filled, let us before wheeling aloft, bring a plate
to that precinct void, sifted under pine, to share forthright
