we remember the names of the space program
sitting for beer and mead, old single plank table
hand cut to sixteen by nine, oaken symmetry
reminiscing disasters and discoveries
none of the names the same, some of us the same
but changed in auspice, how Bravery ��s crew
was Visages �� crew, but less by two
both imprinted on different moons, laced into history
one after another, conversions of national maths
teaching old songs, black hulled and lighthearted
reaching into pockets out of time for instruments
where a guitar is not a guitar, but often similar
raising a glass, we who didn ��t make it
loved and reliving old joys in the trying
un-alive, un-dying �� by beautiful conveyance
