y ��all speak about heart attacks as though they ��re bad things
to have that rabid weasel leap from your chest in full vestment
chasing down those who delivered unspeakable insults
ripping their important bits out, dragging ��em home in a snit
as though gifts on the front porch weren ��t fashionable
catching the eye of that one true love, whose own heart
clearly acting in complicity with your own, shares tastes
sweet predator ��s gazes switching twixt tail and meat
rolling around just the slightest bit in what ��s become
purest carnage
while those possessed of heart cheer quietly, low on energy
whispering, perhaps, return unto me when you ��ve had a bath
