Causal Disregard

six dark SUVs, pulling up
standard box-and-lock
highway open straight ahead
but really, what ��s the point
we ��ve not been driving your car for years
might just as well drop the guise
six dark SUVs, open up
small arms fire, grim-faced pups
highway blocked off by the box
almost like they ��re hostile
boop the dash board gently, say
kitten, they seem to have come to play
and with a spate of uncontrollable meowing
take to the sky
let ��em figure that out
the enemy of sanity
is sudden deviation
and mountains of paperwork
