abduction wasn ��t so bad
even if the first thought was
that ��s one hell of a lot of naked people
scanner beams scrolling over me
beep boop noises exactly like that one film
I grew up loving ever-so-much
all those people shifting
flowing patterns akin to wind pushing
kneading fields in waves
surface behind me, below me
gravitation interchangeable to the vertical
��cross that body-temp slab
voices in legion entwined
an overlapping empire in conversation
sifting tongues, surface a leaf
bodies stilled as flowed by
grammatical infiltrations in dance form
a modern disco interrupted
until fading blue light
focal to pinpoint on one form towards the edge
speaking my tongue
sorry about that, ma ��am
this old tech ��s a bit janky these days
is this thing on
waking was the hard bit
memory of that grandmother ��s accumulation
now tattooed on my arms
field guide to the known worlds
an emergency manual in micro-differentiation
for recovering after civilization ��s fall
reminding geometry of maize lain down for sleeping
ink under skin following patterns
