The Rule of Properties

for taking of one ��s own self ��s memory
one stages elements
how
locking one ��s self accidentally out of one ��s house
clenches all the bits one most reliably wishes clenched
slightly less violently, wherein one must contemplate
not simply the puzzle of entry into one ��s property
but the opposition in proposing the success of failure
in locking one ��s self out, that provenance becomes lever
toothed brass indistinguishable from bent-toothed steel
one might be wearing at any given moment
how
as though in displacing elements too secure and insecure
through a desperate act of simultaneity, one also
effaces that self-moment of grabbing everything
with every part of one ��s anatomy and violently erasing
that very first rule in how to people, where survival
measures distances twixt ball and glass, l-bar and rotation
nervous anticipatory smile up and down the sheets
sweating big drops, because it would super-bad

to get put down by cops
