in that furious battle, my shield golden did shift and swirl
impenetrable, sweeping vigorous granny strokes
soots before it brought to lintel, set politely outside
seven thanks, four directions, tanks taking hits
spurious ventriculations coddled aside, rugs to beat
dust in heated conversation, inhaled, stuck
coughed politely back out, medico overwatch
still on the clock, while after a while
if you get the position just right, reflecting sun
projecting night, shield comfortably astride abyss
one can get out from under all of this in cascade
drop by some other conversation ��s pub
grab six pints, a good friend, and gossip
knitting and drinking, crinkling the edges
where worlds balance on needle-tips, between sips
letting this week ��s enemy bash away like bong hits
breathe in, breathe in, breathe in, hold
soots cheerfully tapped between worlds, unfurled
in flagon and banner, walking yesteryear
spreading the ugliest of sweaters
even as the unacknowledged heat slims pickings
here, we but for the wicking, congregate
shield-state a station twitched twixt elevations
