out in the drive, the elderfolk have their creepers on
metal teeth wide open, laying into driveway ice
where between storm and hard freeze an inch and more
layers over the last batch of sand, acknowledged
steady age moving poised with traction control engaged
grabbing mail and newspaper, not making the news
that ��s for the young ones, swift on rubber soled shoes
zoom and down on the head, surprised annotations
