when reminded that the snuggliest of all
are monsters who will as soon eat you
as warm themselves on your bones
despair not, but lay yourself upon their altars
hidden gods granting wonderous, terrible desires
of flesh and reticulated wires
spun in dreams of otters
home is a heartbeat approaching digital valence
