out in coastal hinterlands
small child blows bubbles to we
searching for parents, fluffing mother-sea foam
brown and salt storm-tossed
lossless palate under new moon
mourning too, that those who come to we
so cold and slow a-drowning
do but say hello-goodbye, and pass we sighing
so child remember we to we
that in the tempest hour
you embrace me not, but on the rock
chat petrel-sharp not counting cost
we ��ll feed you sweet abalone
remind you of smoking fires
clay required chimneys
come, oh orphaned by the sea
we will hold your hope, but not thee
preferring you as you are
but fed, so very comfy-fed
on we
