I think it should be to my credit
that upon first being introduced to Mr. Keys
neither ruh-roh nor their full name
all one word �� was uttered back
and that when they were in fact
after half an hour of ridiculous shenanigans
revealed to be the one behind the mask
I managed to feign surprise
you get used to the pattern of narration
just smile after a while, say the words
ignore that the staff fridge is empty
yet again, except for fur
try desperately not to stealth insert
a mask, a clan, a plan, voila-la-la
man holds dog, dog holds man
a stan for cowards, snack-foot forwards
and at the end, not crack façade
as Gin wanders through the breaks again
folds ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato
laying aside mask-behind-mask
for tomorrow
forever tomorrow
at it again
