some of us speak very little about going blind
after all, for now we can still read, still drive
still get to our destinations if we listen ever so carefully
to the disconnected artificial voice
an industrialized twilight, this
venting gas fires into an unfocussed night
somewhere out on a highway where the signs
just didn ��t mete out prescription information
a rout between me and you
where just poverty won ��t do
that one must add in pride
of good enough
to go blind
