Ripple After Water

do not speak of that which makes you appear insane
for perception drives the story, and the telling brings it plain
where others pluck refrain
do not speak of that which makes you feel strong
from strength derives the glory, and glory is bone
where others carve a flute
do not speak
be nothing
or place your words like carven stones
each upon the altar, with bread and salt and mint for home
a cup of tea for guesting
or place your strength like whispered loans
returned alone within, to purpose be thine own
a melody of sanction
