the rule with wolves is to cut out the heart
never mind the discomfort, nor fold in disposition
each casualty will quick regain, white gum to pink
flat eye to shrinking pupil �� so remember the position
steel thus, edged under and in, past muscle
three even cuts, then burn it up �� and never forget
even without the heart, some still chew on
hours later standing up, ripping a few more flock apart
laying down again, having a good roll in the dirt
because �� isn ��t that just the way of wolves
not knowing enough to die
