I will be your anvil in the deep
I will be the quitted harmonies invading sleep
I will be the tumult in your heart
I will be your anvil when all else is torn apart
and I know your desperation fades
like the echo of your struggle, it just slides away
there is no hollow space
I will be your anvil in the deep
I will be the agitation when you skin escapes
I will be the racing of your blood
I will be your anvil when you resume your part
and I know your hunger drives you now
like the pity of the hammer, lacking nothing in the blow
there is no death of sure release
