Nestith's Dance
July 31, 2002
Nestith's dance is all times and none,
a background electronica, be sure, but alien by signature
mixing wet, bur and slide, to a skipping five by seven by thirteen
prime prime - skip - prime, and four by four back behind the bark
neither root nor malice making mark, just lark and joy in the game
and Nestith, face tranced, is hearing musical core
under there, you'd swear, software breaks the beat
some advanced tryptophane syncopation,
driven by Zappa and a hundred drunk angels
and Nestith, moved by some hollow superceding moog, becomes
in and out of time, delicate against the grain, untouchable
fighting him, one can but bear witness, hope to catch his delusion
that fighting involves no style at all, a game where what happens, happens
and with the ground comes the realization - there is a pattern
somewhere in that insane motion a center held
and he made it look... slow
