Obvious Behavior

in the realm of contact, art of touching and touched
one sacrifices much to favor left for right, neither side fulfilled
weakness springs then from disavowal, or allowance not made
when left grows proud of it's art and right -- slighted
grows weary, ignorant of itself
fools then are we, who become no more than our prowess
remembering only those parts of ourselves what seem wise
forget not
that foundering comes never from cargo
rich as it may be -- but from balance askew
bounty tossing us aside as surely as torrent
weakened not by weakness
but by strength
in the realm of contact, art of touching and touched
style can burden action, clearly as unpolished grain
can throw a ship -- rote conclusions easily reached through
a motion strait to the heart of one's burden --
remember -- your strength was ever another's gain
when you clung drowning to your strength
