Thought Conservation

I did not believe
I do not believe
you will notice these things
you are asked
you are told -- or commanded
to receive what may -- or not exist
I don't care what you call them
receive god's earth, mother, is
the belief is unfounded, the faith formed weak
these things we are wont to believe
call them touch their action, raise them
'I can feel the motion' you can feel the act
you can say -- but belief is unfounded
while believers are drawn
I do not believe these creations
abominations I've been held to conceive
my eyes lie reft, fingers falsely accuse
and belief -- without base but the faith in a thing
fails, ails, folds -- words of my kind
in things --
my belief in form is secondary
my god, my hearth, my mother is
(this is or is not) -- to lie between
faith in faith lost, immatter gained
hold made, hold's cross -- last
streaming through finger's moss
believe -- paradigms shatter
