Forcible Plotting
March 30, 1996
I have no choice but to do something
the precision is immaterial
contrasted with decision
even action seems demeaning
to purpose, to guidance
one might sit vacant still
waiting, conceding time its
small victories, its depletion
of avenues, circling in -
ravens yet
becoming nothing was
a matter of perfection
that one might blithely put down
as stonework, mason to end
one building at its foundation
come all done
might one remain unfinished
in search for substance of self,
might one not somehow pollute
by progression, one's own
conscience
expediency, time trickles
weaving serpents at each
the other's back, black spinning
forms canceling locution
beyond words
cadence immersion
beat concusses on
death was like this
a ponderous gathering
thought clad endings
a moving on
but the crush remains - I must push
on those parts of me that would wait for time
become other than this shallow form �s self conflict
borrowing hours, days at a gash upon the system
flesh, rigid to the cold
one can remain immobile only so long
in face of one's own discrete
concedences - remain
silent only for an instant
before promoting
evolution
