Changing the Pear's Blossom
August 27, 1995
I smile
everything will be all right
words into the shadows spread
and she - a friend,
before all else she was,
but not before herself - or I
friends again, you know
that's how it goes, maybe cutting-
but again I smile
shadows like the words themselves
may merge and blend amongst the
answers
I smile
everything will be all right
all shall again be quiet
and the death will be of silence
not of ourselves
time-
I smile
friends again
the words like nets spread
safety below, above the quiet
discomfort was only loss accepted
everything mended - or can be
and silence dies
I don't doubt that
I smile
