December 1, 1990
in a darkened bed I sit
no light, no sound
no way to sleep
more weary than I've ever been
false hope that darkness soon will end
for the fears I'm holding
of the night
are in my mind
to stay tonight
perhaps it may yet help to know
if the world lights with fallout glow
I will not be the first to go
unto the house of death
