fear an companion
pain an emotion
the rest of the world come undone
lying in shambles
at your feet
pick up the pieces
shake out the tatters
hide away those bits you can't stand
in a hole you dig
in the ground
run from the nightmare
trailing curtains
of the fear that some years hence
the world will find you
dry in a tomb
waiting for transition
that won't come
