I still have a large backlog of photos to process and upload. These are from my walk last Saturday along the Tanana River (2024-06-22) during the lunchbreak. Here are some flower photos. Maybe I'll identify them later when I have my field guide handy:

I'm using the Nikon Coolpix AW130 which I found at Value Village a few months ago. For the most part, it works nicely and is very similar to my previous Nikon camera as far as functionality is concerned. My main complaint is that there is some kind of major current draw when the unit is turned off, so that if I leave the camera in my car for a few days, I come back to find that the battery is dead. I am working around this issue by popping the battery out a few millimeters every time I am done using the camera for the day. Fortunately, this is not difficult to do and does not seem to affect the camera's date and time settings. None of the above photos were post-processed except for resizing.
