I cannot state it differently.
This is the third time I've been trying to use Office 365 after some nudging from my team mates. I've been told it would be great because of the appointment schedulign assistant. I get this, and that's why I gave it another chance.
After 2 weeks of honestly trying to use it to the best of my abilities, I managed to upset a whole lot of people by causing a large amount of spam emails. It turns out, if I modify an accepted event in Evolution, then everyone gets an email about my changes. Added a note? Email. Reminder change? Email. Deleted an event? You got it - Email!
I somehow also managed to make myself the organizer of one of our events. This caused a flood of emails to all participants, who in turn accepted the change, so I got an update from them, which I accepted, so they got a new email about. WTF?!??
I'm only using the Outlook calendar but all of the o365 emails are being redirected. I guess that's not something which works nicely with Microsoft, and they do some filtering or other voodoo-magic on their side to avoid those nonsense emails. I from my side find it unacceptable.
So, that's it. I'm rage quitting the third time. Office 365 still sucks unless you use the Microsoft-blessed clients. They are incapable or unwilling to interoperate and me as a Linux user I do not see how I can make this work in a way, which works nicely for me and for others.
I want a CalDav access to my o365 calendar instead of this proprietary bullshit. That's all what I'm asking for.
And until I have to use the proprietary ews Evolution plugin to do weird stuff, I blame you for sucking.
Office 365 my ass. Fuck off.
