+13 Colonies:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CLEAN SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, after most of the morning, like from 0400 till now K2E was playing on 20m and 10m again at 35WPM... then there was a change to 40m and they slowed down! 25 WPM! I quickley reworked my key to cootie mode and called and made it!
13 colonies on 40m with QRP(4w) and CW only! Don't know if this will be my last year of this event or not with the behaviour but it makes me look forward to doing the SKCC/NAQCC sprints as they are more laid back and maybe revisiting getting a bug... Best 73 all de N2QFD AR SK..

Is K2E a part of someone's callsign?
🐝 Addison [mod] · Jul 07 at 05:31:
Oh I see it's a club callsign. How cool!

@addison so yeah the 1x1 call. These are usually special event calls. I think they're typically assigned by request for a duration and you don't see them much outside of that use as far as I know. I think the FISTS and the SKCC groups would use them also and they would more often be a single special call that might be taken in turns for an event and be the bonus station? There's a push to get people into CW by doing it 1/1 every year and then there's the monthly slow code sprints and other more fun less fists of fury type CW events where it's not some phenome who can do 40WPM, mobile, in traffic, type!

Good to know about the 1x1! I hadn't seen that before. Slow code sprints sound tempting, that might get me to actually try CW for once. Thanks for the info!
