Not sure... The clipboard functionality is done via SDL, and I don't currently know whether it supports binary clipboard contents. or what happens if trying to paste an image. Should give it a try.

I did some tests and I don't think SDL supports this, so I'm closing the issue. At best, I could try implementing some platform-specific image pasting code but that's a bit too much work for the value gained.
I usually use Greenshot to take screenshots and that can transfer images via clipboard, but that is currently not supported by Lagrange
