Three men have been arrested by police after a cannabis farm was uncovered by officers in a village in Northern Ireland. The Police Service of Northern Ireland says that members of the D District Support Officers made the discovery while carrying out a search of a property in the Dromara area.
Police say the search was carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act this afternoon (Monday March 20). The property in Dromara,
Co Down
, with a population of just over 1,000, was found to have a number of cannabis plants growing under artificial light, with some plants stood on a chair.
The three men had been arrested for various drug offences and were taken into police custody. Police shared on Facebook: "D District Support Officers carried out a search of a property under under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the Dromara area this afternoon.
"A cannabis grow was discovered at the property. Three males have been arrested for a number of drugs offences and remain in police custody."
