Goal: A way for me to catalog plants as I learn about them.

Proposed features:

[/] Have a phone number I can text pictures to

[X] Have a script to use the AIs to aid in identifying the plant

[ ] Identify if they are locally native, regionally native, non-native, or invasive.

[X] Have a small webpage that shows open street maps with a blurb of the image

[ ] Automate updating the webpage (I tried but aws is stupid)

[ ] Deduplicate nearby plants so not all results gets pins

[ ] Allow field notes to be attached to the pin

[X] Add geo-location

[ ] Add a macro view of native plants of the area as you zoom out

[ ] Add challenges in a way that feels fun and helps me memorize at the level of involvement I'm feeling at the time

[ ] Emphasize identification strategies

[ ] Promote vigilante efforts to eradicate invasive species

24-06-17:

Spent all day converting it from node (easiest) to flink (hard) to my sql language (hardest). Pivoted to a telegram bot since twilio deleted my account (?) and it takes 24 hours for regulatory approval for the phone number (?). It works and that's cool, but so many bugs everywhere.
