This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
EGGLESS ELSE EYELESS GEESE GUESS LEGLESS LESS LESSEE LUSUS SEGUE SELL SLEW SLUG SLYLY SULLY SUSS SWELL USELESS USELESSLY WUSS WUSSY
Missed: GUSSY
Pangram: WTF! No pangram! How did this happen? I don't know! Error.. Error..
I think a word got removed at some point, although I can't think what it would be. Anyway, today's puzzle definitely has a pangram -- I double-checked. This is a consequence of the separation of the game construction tool which has access to the dictionary and normaly picks games from valid pangrams, and the CGI module which does not care about pangrams except for scoring... Mea culpa.
Which words have adverb forms? Why don't we have 'egglessly' but USELESSLY is a word? It almost makes intuitive sense -- I can generally say "that's not a word" and it's true. How do we do that?
LUSUS (n): deviation from norm; freak.
WUSSY and WUSS were really big in NYC in the 80's. Does anyone still say that?
Another day.
