god yea I'm not looking forward to being out soon at work. i work in construction and idk how to deal with being out, but I'm 6 months on estrogen and waiting to get my new birth certificate in the mail sooo I'm gonna find out how that goes very soon i guess

I really hope it works out for you. It's easier to start a new life at a new job, that way people don't have to adjust their image of you. A lot of people are not very flexible after the first impression... But a new job is not always an option.

And please do write. I don't think anyone here would 'yell' at trans folk...

Transitioning on the job — I've been sitting on a blog post for a few years now about my experience with transitioning at my old job. A core point of it is how once they finally saw me as "not man" (though obviously not "lady") they started treating me like shit, pushing me out, and straight up lying to get rid of me. I've just got two problems with it: it's incredibly lengthy and I don't have the energy to edit it. People will get upset and I don't want to start another round of cis folk...
