This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
CHIMNEY CYNIC EMINENCY ENEMY HENNY HINNY HYENIC HYMEN HYMN HYMNIC INNY NINNY YECCH YECH
CHIMNEY is the pangram.
A very compact puzzle containing HYMEN (if you don't know, look it up yourself) and NINNY (a simpleton).
From the animal kingdom: Merriam-Webster's defines HENNY as 'hen-feathered'. Short and sweet. A HINNY is a male horse/female donkey breed. HYENIC is related to hyenas.
I had some reservations about a few words. INNY got in but is probably not a word, as the usual spelling is INNIE (for a bellybutton that is not an outie). But it was too late to remove it by the time I noticed. And again with weird sound-alikes YECCH and YECH.
Multiple versions of nonsense words and foreign words are a problem (consider all the possible spellings of djinn in a previous puzzle). In a future puzzle I will try to explicitly exclude a word with multiple spellings if it dominates the solution set...
Another day.
