[If this is a duplicate, I apologize].

I'm pleased to finally announce the first public release of KEGS v0.30.
KEGS is an Apple //gs emulator for HP series 9000/700 workstations (since
that's what I have). It is fast, and very accurate. Compatibility
with a real Apple //gs is excellent. Let me know if you find ANYTHING
which does not work. Even the ROM built-in selftests pass! As a teaser,
KEGS can do some border effects, and a fully functional FTA XMAS.DEMO is
available to download as a demonstration.

KEGS is available at http://www.mtnweb.com/~kentd/

The needed ROM files and GSOS are not available at that site.

You need to have an HP workstation to use KEGS. I have tested it on HP-UX
9.05 and 10.20.

Full source code is included. Code and ideas from KEGS have already been
used in other emulators, but after this release I expect many more
ideas and code will be borrowed. :-)

One more time: KEGS will not work on PCs or Macs. It will not even work
on other Unixes since the 65816 interpreter is written in PA-RISC assembly
code.

If you download it and try it, please let me know. I figure the audience
for this has got to be small...
