What if things were different, you know? I tossed out my three options. First one: moving our servers to either Rocky Linux or AlmaLinux, which both support OpenLDAP. Second option: switching to Ubuntu, which also plays nice with OpenLDAP. Third choice: diving into Red Hat, which only supports the Red Hat Directory Server. Who's gonna come out on top? Well, it seems like no one's making the call. It's like we're all just tech operators in the grand Ambaradan General, and nobody really gets it.
