TrackIt v0.0.1 "readme" This project is dead. Nonetheless, some people (especially someone named Apple Rebel) wanted to see how far it went. So here it is. 1- Launch TrackIt Because of some problems with ProDos, it may work or not. For instance, from basic, if you do "-trackit.system" it won't work; but launching TrackIt using "bye" will. 2- Play with the pull down menus Don't read the stuff in the pull down menus, you're breaking into my intimacy! However I did not bother erasing all that junk. Probably every program you use, once had this appearance while it was in its testing stage. 3- Play with the editor The routine for clearing the editor was done but it's more interesting to scroll garbage than scroll vacuum. Note the speed: TrackIt is 100% assembly. Note the quality: I worked hard on screen output routines that are totally flicker free. It even uses interrupts to do so. You won't see any flicker while playing around with TrackIt, guaranteed! 4- Try "Sound/Load Instruments" You should be able to go anywhere in your disks. But whatever you do will end loading the file "touch". 5- Try "Sound/Try Instruments" This is the heart of TrackIt. I thought it would be the best program since I figured a way to get 15 voices, no "clicks", size of samples limited by RAM and not DOC RAM. (for comparison, SoundSmith is yes-yes-no, and NoiseTracker is no-no-yes). Unfortunatly, this is only a quick test-version and clicks do occur if you play too hard. TrackIt may even crash if you produce even more notes! 6- Quit with "File/Quit" You may have to reboot instead. Sorry but this is not even a beta version! So that's it! I just hope this ware will not reformat your hard drive. If it does, please don't blame me, it was not intended. i.e.: Use this sequence of bytes, usually called a program, at your own risks!
