    Just out of sheer boredom one day, I decided to convert the sound effects
from DOOM 1.2r into rSounds for use with the Sound control panel.  I used the
DMAUD utility (sorry, I don't have the author's name handy) to extract the
sounds, then Ian Schmidt�s AudioZap and Paul Benson�s rSounder to convert them
to resource sounds.  Jason Simmon�s Instant Replay automated the whole procedure.

    DOOM was created by id Software, and is also published by id Software. Some
of these names should be familiar to SoftDisk and SoftDisk G-S subscribers:
