Midnight Pub

So, what's everyone up to?

~alex

Huh, sweet honey lemon? Did you miss me that much, ~bartender?! I'm just kidding, thank you!

The past nights kept me too busy for Midnight, yet... it seems this place is quieter than usual.

So, to "break the ice" among those who currently are around, what have you guys been up to recently?

Howdy ~alex, good to see you around!

~bartender? Hmmm, how about some of that spiced hot chocolate? Yeah, well, the time of the year has come with temperatures close to 0°C, autumn leaves, everything wet, thin veils of fog in the morning ... thanks, ~bartender!

While probably everyone, their cat and their dog included, is busy somehow, I'm somewhat stopped in my tracks. No, not entirely "dead", but well. I have been on sick leave since the end of July ... and I have growing "angst" that the sky will fall on my head any time really soon now. Maybe even before I hit the "Reply" button. In which case even slow Midnight won't notice :) Oh well. So, maybe, just maybe in two weeks I'm able to see well enough to move around outside the house on my own again.

Out of pure desperation I took out my mostly abandoned micro controller project and gave it some attention. I even made another iteration on printed circuit boards. So maybe, if the goddesses of bitly and bytely work are merciful, I'd bring that stuff to a new iteration of their life cycle. On the other hand --- who cares? No one exactly.

So, I sincerely hope that this health issue will improve now, after three iterations. May the goddesses of transformation be merciful. Those are responsible for birth and death, too, you know. Apart from day and night and the seasons and everything that changes, so pretty much everything. Pretty darn busy, those ladies, me thinks! :-)

Cheers!

A patron rushes from another table, not to miss the slow social-feed moment… stumbles on the way, being under the spell of the alcohol.

Another beer for me ~bartender

I enjoy this hanging around and slowness, comunication. And in all this simplicity i discover new posibilities. Get inspiration. And

share some ideas:

There is this blog i write about smoll web. Its in slovene language, kind of introductory content for starting with web… I managed to set up a server and am hosting www and gemini content there. I would like to setup also server for nex protocol, the server software i know needs an openBSD OS… thats why i need to set up another computer…it are all new things for me, so its fun and exciting process.

just jameson on the rocks, ~bartender; needing a stiff one over here.

i've been very busy and haven't had much time to upload writing i've been doing in my (little) spare time, but as things are settling down, i'm feeling better about spreading myself out mentally again.

i moved north, so i'm in seattle these days. uprooting your entire life takes up more time than i'd like to admit; i was insistent upon not taking any time off from my hobbies' deadlines other than when we physically had our computers locked away in a uhaul. somehow managed to launch a project in this timeframe too. i thought maybe i'd be able to overcome having a transitional period at all, but this proved to be unequivocally false. i have to settle for the fact that i, too, am human and susceptible to the very same things i try to be resilient against.

thanks for asking, ~alex! what's been keeping you busy?
