A2 Pix is a freeware Mac application that converts Apple II HGR and DHGR graphics to the 'Simple Text' - PICT graphics format, in either 1 bit or 4 bit, allowing for the normal Apple II picture size or double its size. Inside of the Applications folder you will find two Mac apps with the titles; a2pix PPC - (for use with all PowerMac models) a2pix 68k - (for use with all 68k Mac models) The program will read the following Apple II graphics file formats; color/b&w HGR color/b&w DHGR in Beagle and Dazzle Draw format Beagle is "file" (main) and "file.aux" Dazzle has the aux in $0000-$1FFF and the main in $2000-$3FFF A2 Pix supports batch conversions from within a folder also, if you want to convert all the Apple II HGR and DHGR graphics within any given folder. Included with this first release are two PhotoShop plugins - for use with any version of PhotoShop for the Mac. When using the PhotoShop plugins, you need to "Open As..." to be able to choose b/w or color. Otherwise it defaults to a random choice. They open as Millions+, memory hogs... just because it's easy to assign long words rather than mucking them by hand. 8 Bit, 16 Bit and 32 Bit.
