A2 Pix is a freeware Mac application that converts Apple II HGR and DHGR graphics
to the 'Simple Text' - PICT graphics format, in either 1 bit or 4 bit, allowing
for the normal Apple II picture size or double its size.

Inside of the Applications folder you will find two Mac apps with the titles;

a2pix PPC - (for use with all PowerMac models)
a2pix 68k - (for use with all 68k Mac models)

The program will read the following Apple II graphics file formats;

color/b&w HGR
color/b&w DHGR in Beagle and Dazzle Draw format

Beagle is "file" (main) and "file.aux"

Dazzle has the aux in $0000-$1FFF and the main in $2000-$3FFF

A2 Pix supports batch conversions from within a folder also, if you want
to convert all the Apple II HGR and DHGR graphics within any given folder.

Included with this first release are two PhotoShop plugins - for use with any
version of PhotoShop for the Mac. When using the PhotoShop plugins, you need
to "Open As..." to be able to choose b/w or color. Otherwise it defaults to a random choice. They open as Millions+, memory hogs... just because it's easy to assign long words rather than mucking them by hand.

 8 Bit, 16 Bit and 32 Bit.

A folder named: 'Pix' contains several Apple II HGR and DHGR graphics for use as
examples. Another folder named: 'Pict.converted' (which is empty) is included
to save batch conversions to.
