Being someone without social media I never acquired a taste for block lists. Or, rather, the whole world is my blocklist, since I never connected in the first place. I find it interesting how much energy is spent analyzing the ideology of one's followers. It seems to me it would be better to have no followers at all. This is why I distrust those who promote codes of conduct: because they view every transaction in terms of an ideological cleansing. The most basic function of a community is stoning people to death. And this is why I will never come to Gemini without my condom on.

…to me it seems that "n-word this and n-word that" in that blog entry is not an attempt to analyze the political alignment of followers.
I don't like this either, some apperently think that fueling mutual hate within one rather broad group toward the other equally broad group is fun — not me, and not because I think that one group is good and the other is bad, but because I think it's tiring and pointless.
So me not liking that does not mean that I'm actively seeking to make this group disappear. And IMO in the context of that post it's just a side note, not the main point 🤷

On the one hand, I'm not into blocklists either: I hate the FediBlock drama and I've never blocked anyone on Fedi — I just attempt to not interact with those, who aren't fun to interact with and cause a lot of trouble. I didn't even block the Facebook Fedi thing when everyone was (as I have later discovered there was no need to as it was broken with stock Pleroma).
On the other — I have seen community spaces overrun by those who weren't there, making them nearly impossible to use for those who were that community originally. So I can definitely see where this is coming from.
