This is another perfect pop song I remember from the mid 80s. I didn't like You're so Vain but I like Coming Around Again. It's got some good rhymes: toaster/grocer. I think this is quite a meaningful song, unhappiness in marriage versus domestic bliss. In the chorus, a near apology and an invitation to compromise.

I remember watching this outdoor concert on television. It was Carly live in Martha's Vineyard, near a marina I think and it seemed so breezy. I think it was on bbc2. It was 1987. I looked it up on yt. OK so You're so Vain can be a bit spiteful but Coming Around Again transports me back. This is an evocative and well crafted song. 'Why' is another classic Carly favourite.
