everyone at my job is conservative and transphobic I want to rip and tear maim and kill etc. etc.
Why can't I just work at a cute local coffee shop where I make $25/hour and the customers just hang out and read and chat for extended periods of time

@maxheadroom it's my post and I get to pick the topic. · 4 months ago
@maxheadroom
Were you correct regarding the pharmaceutical industry pushing people into mistakenly believing themselves transgender, I'd not expect the vast majority of trans people (98% of 92k surveyed) to report being satisfied with their transition. Conspiracy theories do indeed make simple reality seem more complex than it is. · 4 months ago
@maxheadroom the reason why I'm trans isn't because of "marketing tricks". And my coworkers aren't transphobic because of "marketing awareness". My coworkers are transphobic because they're repulsed by social change and they get their news through reactionary ragebait
Despite how much I love to complain, I am much happier now that I'm on hormones and my body is transitioning to a more feminine form. I've wanted this for years and only recently actually got it. I think @lysko is right btw.
I wasn't being 100% serious about making $25/hour selling coffee, I mean like, I didn't actually think that was a practical possibility. I just wish it was · 4 months ago
If you want to make $25/h selling coffee then you need to find a big ass commercial coffee shop on a highstreet. If you want to sell coffe in a cute local store you might want to consider to open one yourself. It probably won't make you $25/h but you will have a better work environment. · 4 months ago
@lykso this is not the best topic for that rabbit hole. And yes the truth is straight forward, but no, not always the simplest explanation, specially not once things have been made complicated. People in general should be more aware and accepting. It works both ways on this planet. · 4 months ago
Wow the usual suspects show up to be complete assholes for no reason. · 4 months ago
@maxheadroom
Sounds like an over-complexification of folks simply becoming more aware and more accepting of trans people. The truth is always the simplest possible explanation, riiiight? · 4 months ago
I'm not transphobic, as i think that it's ok to have a say over your own life.
BUT.. and here is the tricky part, eversince facebook and co managed to put people into cohorts and pharma managed to buy their way into peoples minds. Certain minds have been targeted with suggestive messages to slowly 'guide them' towards a pharma 'solution'.
What looks like transphobia, is in some cases marketing awareness.
Specially young brains that are not fully developed are easy targets for these marketing tricks. Criminal marketing tricks. If someone is about to bend their gender, they at least should try to figure out WHY they made that choice. · 4 months ago
I super feel this 💔 · 4 months ago
