I'm not generally a believer in new years resolutions, I consider it rather arbitrary. Making improvements and changes to your life is something we should all try to do all year round.
It just so happens though that new year's has coincided with some realisations of changes I want to make to my life.
Top of my list is to stop exposing myself to things that do nothing but depress me. During the Christmas period I've stepped away from political discourse and news online and it's made me realise how much of a negative effect it's been having on my mental health. So going forward I'm going to keep this up and withdraw my attention to it. There's nothing I can do to change it and all it does is make me angry, depressed and bitter.
Another big thing I've been very bad at and need to start changing is being kind to myself.
I feel like I have more incentive to do this now I've experienced how much better I can feel.
I think HRT effects have also had a positive impact on me mentally recently.
I still have a long way to go and some new challenges have presented themselves but I really think things are improving.
